The United Methodist Children's Home (UMCH) Website Privacy Policy has been developed as an extension of our commitment to combine the highest quality services with the highest level of integrity in dealing with our consumers/clients/funders/staff. The Policy guides how we collect, store and use information, and it will be periodically assessed against new technologies, business practices and our users' changing needs.

UMCH may, from time to time, modify this Website Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technological and other developments. In that event the changes will appear at this location. Our Policy recognizes that Personally-Identifiable Information (i.e. name, address, e-mail addresses, etc) deserves protection and security.

UMCH is committed to using all reasonable efforts to abide by the following Policy statement

Collection. Personally-Identifiable Information will only be collected to the extent that The UMCH deems reasonably necessary to serve a legitimate business purpose. UMCH currently has no Website collection methods, however information may be sent to UMCH via email. UMCH may use cookies to track site visit statistics, but no personal data is collected or maintained. UMCH does not download to your computer or use any data collection spy ware.

Notification. Website users will be notified (usually at the point where Personally-Identifiable Information is collected) as to the uses that UMCH may make of the Personally-Identifiable Information collected.

Internal & External Agency Distribution of Personally-Identifiable Information. Information that is forwarded to UMCH in result of using the UMCH Website will be maintained in that department's data bases and not shared with other departments. For example, someone forwards a resume to UMCH for a possible job opportunity. This information will not be forwarded to the Marketing Department for Fund Raising Activities.

Security. Appropriate safeguards will be implemented to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of Personally-Identifiable Information from Website Users. UMCH will not share Information which is forwarded to UMCH in result of using the UMCH Website with any outside entity.

Children: Collection and use of information from children under the age of thirteen will be made in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Act of 1998.

Access to any other Internet site linked to this Web Site is at the user's own risk and UMCH is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any information, data, opinions, advice or statements made on these sites. UMCH provides these links merely as a convenience and the inclusion of such links does not imply an endorsement.
