Sean Reilly, Executive Director of UMCH Family Services, is responsible for the overall management of the agency. With a long history of service to children and families, prior to joining UMCH Family Services in 2011, Mr. Reilly served as Managing Partner for Executive Resources Associates. He has represented the Ohio Council of Behavioral Healthcare Providers, The Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies, and many agencies on numerous local, regional and statewide committees, including: The Steering Committee of the Tapestry System of Care in Cuyahoga County. Sean Reilly is a seasoned executive in the leadership and provision of programs and services for children and their families. He has worked in the field for more than 31 years.

As our Director of Finance, Jennifer Painter is responsible for the daily management of the department. Since joining the team in 2013 she has been tasked with ensuring that our agency’s financial and human resources remain focused on furthering our agency’s mission, now and into the future.  Over the past few years, Jennifer has been instrumental in navigating strategic and functional changes, increasing overall agency efficiency through the use of electronic records and facilitating new and expanding contracts with partnering and governing agencies.

Katelyn Do graduated with her Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Lipscomb University, and her Master Degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University.  In between undergraduate and graduate school, Katelyn spent a year in China teaching English.  While in New York, Katelyn interned with Grand Street Settlement’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention program, providing diagnostic assessments, counseling, and conducting weekly group therapy sessions for adolescents in the program.  After graduating from NYU, Katelyn worked for the Jewish Child Care Association in Brooklyn, New York as a Health Care Integrator for children in Foster Care.

Heather Kaufman is the Executive Administrative Assistant & HR Coordinator at UMCH Family Services with extensive experience in office management and account management.  She provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director.  Heather also coordinates pre-employment screening, orientation, on-boarding of new employees as well as managing and maintaining employee HR files.

Alondra Key is the Executive Administrative Assistant at UMCH Family Services. She is responsible for providing support to the Executive Director, the Board of Trustees, Administrative Managers, and overall general administrative support.

Originating from North Carolina, Alondra Key is a 2021 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. She acquired a B.A. in Theatre and Film Studies, with a concentration in Education. Throughout college, she worked with multiple theatre and film companies as a Stage Manager, Producer, or Designer. Outside of the arts, she worked as a Student Teacher and, in the hybrid setting, the Summer Activities Coordinator for a group home for boys in North Carolina. In 21-22, Alondra completed a service year with the non-profit AmeriCorps program at City Year Columbus. She served as a 5th grade math Intervention Specialist and Behavioral Coach. During the service year, she developed skills for incorporating Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) into a workplace under provided mentorship. Alondra is passionate about uplifting youth’s voices and being of service to those around her. When she’s not at work, you can find her watering her plants, listening to music, or admiring modern art.

Michael Sivey received his Master in Counseling Education and Bachelor in Psychology at University of North Texas. He minored in addictions and rehabilitation and has worked in the field of mental health for over 18 years.

He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation and is certified in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

Cathy McCutcheon has been Clinical Supervisor of Treatment Foster Care since December, 2013. She is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor with Supervision Designation and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. Cathy received her Master Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University. After moving to Ohio she completed postgraduate credits in community and school counseling through the University of Dayton.

Beth Moore started working with UMCH Family Services in 2016.  Over the years, Beth has had various roles with the agency.   In her current position as OhioKAN Supervisor, Beth oversees OhioKAN Navigators who give support to kinship caregivers and adoptive parents.  As Caminos® Program Manager, she supports Caminos® Case Managers to ensure youth have safe homes and resource supports.

Jessica Rios is a Licensed Social Worker who began her career with UMCH Family Services in July of 2021. She has a demonstrated career history of working with vulnerable populations and those impacted by the criminal justice system. Jessica is very passionate about providing trauma-informed care with an emphasis on the client-centered approach to service.

Mary Zapata is an experienced therapist with a demonstrated history of working with children and families, spanning from clinical, administrative and educational settings. Skilled in evidenced-based treatment modalities such as, CBT, TF-CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Mary has experience working in multiple systems and populations including, facilitating evidence-based alcohol/drug and violence prevention programs, school-based before and after school program, office management, and community-based case management. Mary obtained her Master in Social Work in August 2020 and began her career with UMCH Family Services in the IHBT program providing higher level of care with children, adolescents, and families experiencing symptoms of defiance, anxiety, mood instability, inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and post-traumatic stress. She enjoys working with individuals and families to find solutions that best fit them, and giving them a safe and positive environment to create personal growth. Currently, Mary is Supervisor of Care Coordination with the OhioRISE program and enjoys working with such an exceptional and passionate team.

Dominic Strodes is a licensed social worker with Master of Social Work from Walden University obtained in 2020. Dominic received his Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration from Urbana University in 2017, and Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Toledo in 2015. Dominic has a broad spectrum of experience from various agencies including Clark County Juvenile Court, Oesterlen Services for Youth, Champaign County CPS, and Clark State College. His experience spans from children services, emergency case management, youth and adult therapy, direct care, and drug and alcohol group facilitation to emergency and psychiatric crisis work, program development, higher education, grant management and trauma education. Dominic is excited about his position as Care Coordination Supervisor and looks forward to supporting youth, families, and staff in that capacity.

Sandi Andrist is a Licensed Social Worker who has been employed by UMCH Family Services twice.  She worked as a Treatment Coordinator and provided training for foster and adoptive families before leaving to pursue other opportunities.   She returned to UMCH Family Services in 2011 as the Adoption Coordinator.    She is currently the adoption coordinator, works as a foster care licensing specialist, and trains foster and adoptive families.  She loves helping children find permanency through reunification and adoption.  Sandi is an adoption assessor who enjoys working with adoptive families writing home studies and searching to find the child that will make a family.

Laurie West is the Educational Services Coordinator/Licensing Specialist for the Treatment Foster Care Program.  She began her career at UMCH Family Services after graduating from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 1983.  Since 1985, Laurie has been a licensed social worker in a multitude of positions and programs with the agency.

Morgan Koch, Treatment Coordinator, graduated from The Ohio State University with her Bachelor of Social Work in 2017. Morgan completed a practicum at Help Me Grow where she encouraged early prenatal and well-baby care to newly pregnant women and new moms. After graduation, she worked in a private practice supporting young adults by building their motivation, self-efficacy, and resilience to achieve a satisfying life.  Morgan has been with UMCH Family Services for three and a half years. She is a Treatment Coordinator for infants and toddlers in our Foster Care Program. In Morgan’s spare time she enjoys going fishing and spending time on the beach.

Tim Boerema completed his Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology in 1988 and a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Child and Family Services in 2003. He secured his Licensed Independent Social Worker designation in Ohio 2013.

Tim has multiple years of experience interacting as a social worker with families and children. He practiced social work as a case manager with the families and individuals of all ages adults including children, teens, and the elderly. Tim has also worked as a medical social worker in nursing homes and provided guardianship case management for individuals with developmental delays.

Courtney is a Licensed Professional Counselor who joined UMCH Family Services in February 2022. She graduated with her Bachelor in Psychology from The Ohio State University in 2017. Courtney received her Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in August 2021. She interned at Speak Life Christian Counseling and Coaching, LLC where she helped couples and individuals of all ages work towards their relationship and mental health goals.

While in high school and college, Courtney worked in nursing homes providing care to the elderly and later provided in-home care to individuals with developmental disabilities. She has always enjoyed caring for others and assisting in any way that she can. In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family. Courtney likes to relax by watching TV/movies, going on hikes, playing games, or just hanging out with friends.

Alyssa is a Licensed Social Worker who joined UMCH Family Services in February 2022. She is a clinician on the Treatment Foster Care team working with children and adolescents in foster care, as well as young adults in the Ohio Bridges program. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hiram College in 2017. Alyssa received her Master of Social Work as well as a Mental Health, Addiction, and Family certification from Tulane University School of Social Work in December 2021. She interned at Edward Hynes Charter School and FFLIC in Louisiana where she provided individual and group therapy to school aged youth as well as conducted community organizing for youth affected by the justice system. She is currently working towards her independent licensure and various therapy modality certifications.

Matt Harmon came to UMCH Family Services in December 2020 after previously working at Darby Creek Counseling in London, Ohio and interning at Open Arms Counseling in downtown Columbus. He received his Bachelor Degree with a focus on Youth Ministry. While in college he worked with children and teens in a foster care group home setting and later worked with individuals with developmental disabilities. Matt currently works out of our Cleveland Avenue office, working with children and teens ages 6 and up as well as with adults.

Valerie Asman is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master in Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Valerie interned at UMCH Family Services in their Treatment Foster Care program and Outpatient School-Based Program while getting her Master degree. Valerie has been working with UMCH Family Services for 3 years.

Allison is a Licensed Social Worker, with a Master Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University after completing their advanced standing alternative plan (ASAP) accelerated program with a focus in mental health and substance use. She also received bachelor degrees in social work and business administration from The Ohio State University. Allison has had a lifelong passion for trauma informed care and mental health as her family has been a foster family throughout her life. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. While in college, she interned as a foster care case manager and as an outpatient mental health therapist. Allison has worked with adults with severe and persistent mental health disorders and substance use disorders.

Caitlin is a Licensed Social Worker who joined UMCH Family Services’ school-based and outpatient clinical team in July of 2022. Caitlin graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work from Ohio University located in Athens, Ohio in 2017. She went on to pursue her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University in Columbus and graduated in 2020. During the course of her undergraduate and graduate social work education, she interned with Kaleidoscope Youth Center (drop in and services center for LGBTQIA+ youth) and an outpatient healthcare center that provides behavioral health services to populations who are under and/or uninsured. Since graduating with her MSW, Caitlin has been employed full-time as a behavioral health clinician in two Federally Qualified Health Centers in Central Ohio and is currently working toward obtaining her clinical independent social work licensure.

Jordyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor who joined UMCH Family Services in September 2022. She graduated with her bachelor degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2020, and her master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University in 2022. Jordyn interned at Fireland’s Counseling and Recovery Services in Sandusky, Ohio, where she spent time working with teens and adults, running groups, and working in the county jail. Jordyn moved to the Columbus area to be close to her family and is excited to begin a new chapter in her life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, playing her guitar, and going to hockey games.

Olivia is a Licensed Social Worker who joined UMCH Family Services in July of 2022. Prior to this position, Olivia served as an elementary school counselor in her hometown outside of Philadelphia. She graduated with her Master in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2021. Olivia received her Bachelor in Social Work from La Salle University in 2020. While in graduate school, Olivia interned at a private practice, providing therapy to college aged students, young adults, and adults.

Olivia is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She likes to utilize a person-centered and strengths based approach while working with her clients. She is passionate about working collaboratively with clients and their families to help them to reach their goals. In her free time, Olivia enjoys reading, watching football, and being in nature.

Elise is a Licensed Professional Counselor who joined UMCH Family Services in October 2021. She graduated with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Syracuse University in 2021. Elise received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ohio University in 2019. Elise interned at Family and Children’s Counseling Services of Cortland County while in Syracuse, where she spent much of her time working with children and adolescents and their families.

Lisa Purcell joined UMCH Family Services in 2022 as a Care Coordinator.  She has 15 years of experience working with children and families.  Lisa’s background is in Behavioral Therapy and she is excited to start her journey as a Care Coordinator at UMCH Family Services.  Lisa is in her final undergraduate year at Ohio Christian University where she will receive her bachelor in Business Management. After graduation, she intends to continue her education by studying for a degree in Psychology.  She is a wife and mother of 4.  In her free time, Lisa loves to go camping, going to the gym, and doing fun things with her family.

Kevin joined UMCH Family Services in June of 2022.  He has 10 years experience working with children and families in residential treatment facilities as a Residential Supervisor.  Kevin is passionate about keeping families together, children in safe homes, and ensuring that they receive all services necessary for healthy growth.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling.

Nicole Greathouse recently joined UMCH Family Services as a Care Coordinator.  She is excited to be a part of the Care Coordination team and help to launch the Ohio RISE program.

Nicole studied social work at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio and worked with families and children for the last 4 years.  Nicole is passionate about linking clients with community resources and mental health services that can strengthen the family.  As part of her training, she has studied and received certification in trauma-informed care.

During her off time she enjoys time with her family, hiking and traveling.

Jayson Woody is a senior at The Ohio State University.  His is working toward his Bachelor of Science in Social Work and will complete it this autumn. Jayson is honored to be a care coordinator at UMCH Family Services and thankful for the opportunity.  With six years of experience in the social service field, Jayson is ready to start assisting the children and families in his community.

Jayson was nominated and the winner of the Field Excellence Award of 2022.  He completed his Associate Degree at Columbus State Community College in Social and Human Services.

In his free time, Jayson volunteers with Besa, enjoys traveling, jogging and trying new foods.

Nathaniel Johns, MD, is a Board Certified Psychiatrist in both Adult as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Johns earned his medical degree in Beijing, China.

After relocating to the United States, Dr. Johns completed General Psychiatry Residency at Detroit Medical Center (Detroit, Ml) in 2000, and Child Psychiatry Fellowship at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Ml) in 2002.

Mary Bradley is a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience in multiple settings caring for individuals across the lifespan. She finished her Bachelor in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2010. She completed her Master in Nursing at Walden University in 2020. She is a board certified nurse practitioner in psychiatry to care for patients of all ages. Mary has provided nursing care to psychiatric patients and their families in various settings; ranging from long-term nursing care, community mental health, inpatient hospitalization, and partial/intensive outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents.

Debra Reilly is a dedicated registered nurse (RN) with a diverse background in homecare, community based and hospital care, with specialty experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing.

She is a reliable, ethical healthcare provider with ability to stay calm and intervene during crises, to facilitate groups and educational seminars, and to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams. Deb has a proven ability to build positive relationships with patients, family members, physicians and other medical professionals. She has a long history of direct and supervisory experience in inpatient as well as community settings.
